Description

Northwood Golf Club is located in Monte Rio, California along the beautiful Russian River. Consistently ranked as one of the top 9-hole courses in the nation, Northwood is seeking an experienced individual to fulfill the Assistant Superintendent position.

Job duties include:

• Maintaining the golf course, grounds, and equipment to standards set by the Superintendent.
• Hand watering and adjustment of irrigation sprinklers.
• Identifying turf diseases or other issues and coordinating with the Superintendent to take appropriate action.
• Servicing turf equipment (mowers, utility vehicles, tractors).
• Basic plumbing, electrical, and irrigation repairs.
• Completing daily maintenance/course setup tasks.
• Supervising a crew of 5 employees to ensure daily work goals are achieved.
• Reporting any issues with golf course conditions to the Superintendent.
• Working shifts in the Pro Shop if needed.

• Ability to supervise a crew of 5 employees
• Ability to act in a professional, friendly manner towards customers and employees.
• Maintain a sufficient parts inventory and coordinating necessary equipment repairs
• Previous experience in golf course maintenance operations of at least 1 year.
• Valid Driver's License.
• The desire to contribute towards the strong reputation of Northwood Golf Club.
• Pay will start at an hourly rate of $26/HR

• Job consists of a 40 hour work week and may require working evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on the needs of the course.
