Description
The Department of Engineering Technology at Northern Michigan University invites applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor (or Instructor in a three year term position) to teach undergraduate courses and labs in the Electrical Engineering Technology programs. We are seeking outstanding candidates with industrial engineering experience and expertise in electrical engineering, computer engineering, embedded systems, microcontrollers, and/or industrial automation and control systems. Additional duties include fostering and maintaining professional relationships with industry personnel, and active participation in ABET accreditation support and service and leadership to the department, the campus, and the professional community. A terminal degree in electrical engineering or related field is required for the rank of Assistant Professor and tenure track. A Master’s degree is required for the rank of instructor and a three year term appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with professional licenses and certifications in related fields. This is a campus-based position that will start in Fall 2026. This position is not currently available for sponsorship.
