Description
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisor or manager role, degree is preferred, Ductile Iron Foundry experience, and a stable work history.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must exhibit 5 years’ experience in a supervision/management role.
2. Must have 6 years’ maintenance experience or 4 years’ and an associate degree in technology or 3 years’ and a B.S. in
Technology.
3. 2-year technical degree preferred.
4. Previous foundry experience preferred.
5. Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
6. Exhibit basic computer skills. (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
7. Must exhibit the ability to learn technical information.
8. Must exhibit a thorough knowledge of foundry processes and products, or similar processes and products.
9. Must exhibit the ability to read and interpret difficult blueprints and hydraulic schematics.
10. Capable of assessing equipment problems and needed repairs.
11. Must exhibit a good command of grammar and spelling.
12. Must exhibit attention to detail.
13. Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
14. Must be production minded and improvement oriented while instilling quality and safety in those under his/her leadership.
15. Must be able to work extra hours on weekdays or weekends as required to fulfill job duties.
16. Must exhibit good management/leadership skills.
17. Must exhibit the ability to cooperate and communicate well with others.
18. Must exhibit the ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
19. Must exhibit good organizational skills.
20. Must exhibit an excellent record of punctuality and attendance. This is an essential position that requires attendance during bad
weather, holiday’s, shutdowns and emergency events.
21. Must exhibit the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the job duties.
22. Must possess an active license to operate a company vehicle if needed.
23. Must meet physical requirements for the safe operation of mobile equipment as administered by the Safety Department.
24. Must exhibit the ability to work under stress.
25. Due to the hazardous nature of the job environment (mobile equipment, overhead cranes, etc.), acceptable levels of vision and hearing are required in order to identify and respond to visual and audible warnings in a safe manner.
26. A negative tuberculosis test result.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous foundry experience preferred. 2-year technical degree preferred. 5 years’ in a supervision/management role required. 6 years’ maintenance experience or 4 years’ maintenance and an associate degree in technology or 3 years’ maintenance and a B.S. in Technology required.
