GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Serve as the trainer for all maintenance employees. Must have demonstrated knowledge and working experience in military aircraft maintenance organizations governed un CNAFINST 4790.2
DUTIES
Performs all duties associated with training and environmental compliance.
Schedules, coordinates and executes numerous training events
Ensures all employees training requirements are maintained according to the standards
Must be able train personnel on all aspects of Sheetmetal requirements such as hole quality, fasteners, drilling and cold work duties
Must be able to document and electronically record and organize all training records
Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Must be able to work with all disciplines to ensure training material is accurate and reflects current requirements
Must be able to conduct safety observations and observe implementation of corrective measures
Must be able to participate and conduct safety training
May be required to inspect equipment and collect samples
Must be able to identify and address hazardous workplace conditions
May be required to prepare and submit reports
Must be proficient with all Microsoft applications
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for education
At least 2 years' experience in training
Must have at least 5 years' Sheetmetal Mechanic or Aircraft Mechanic duties experience, preferably at Depot Level or Overhaul Maintenance facilities
Prefer to have instructor duty in the military with MTS certification or other sources of instruction
Must have a good working knowledge of OSHA
Must be physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of this classification
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language to include correct grammar usage
Must be a US Citizen
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Functional Requirements:
Must be able to walk, stand, crawl, kneel and bend on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, pull over hand, push, reach or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
May be required to sit for extended periods of time
Environmental Factors:
Works in an office military environment
Working closely with others or working alone
Possible protracted or irregular hours of work as needed or required.
