Description

• Perform ultrasound scans on patient using specialized equipment
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images
• Adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality
• Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of information
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

• Certification as an Ultrasonographer
• Graduate of an approved US department of Education Ultrasound/Imaging program with RDMS certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN and RVT. Must be CPR certified at the time of appointment. Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with documentation of CEU requirements
• Proficiency in performing various ultrasound scans, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and musculoskeletal
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasound imaging 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and other relevant software
• Answering patient questions regarding collection techniques and offering additional resources on the collection process

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience preferred. Prefer experience in OB/GYN, Abdominal, small parts and Vascular ultrasound
