Job Description
Job Summary:
Perform different electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determine and follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Uses documented work instructions, workmanship standards and bill of materials for light assemblies on pre-determined assignments at a variety of workstations. Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 8 hours of overtime/week. Actual overtime hours may vary.
Shifts Hiring For:
8 Hour shifts:
- 1st: 6:30 am-2:30 pm, Mon - Fri
- 2nd: 2:30 pm- 10:30 pm, Mon - Fri
- 3rd: 10:30 pm - 6:30 am, Sun - Thu
10 Hour Shifts:
- 1st: 5:30am - 3:30pm, Mon - Thu
- 2nd: 3:30pm - 1:30pm, Mon - Thu
Pay rate starts at $18 and above. This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation. 2nd and 3rd shift candidates receive an additional 10% shift premium.
Your Responsibilities:
- Read tasks per sequence defined by electronic or hardcopy drawings and work instructions.
- Follow standardized methods of work to accomplish an established set of assembly tasks.
- Assemble components and sub-assemblies in an assembly line fashion per specific defined process and in defined time frame.
- Use tools including Component Lead Cutters and Crimpers, Forming and Insertion Press Fixtures, Hand Tools, Automated Test Systems, and Lifting Fixtures.
- Work from established product bill of materials and assembly drawings of products.Assemble electro-mechanical products, control panels, industrial control equipment, and related components according to work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and production documentation.
- Perform wiring, fastening, labeling, and mechanical assembly operations using hand and power tools.
- Conduct in-process inspections and verify assemblies meet quality standards.
- Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and rework activities as needed.
- Identify and report quality, safety, and process concerns.
- Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Assist with training and mentoring new assemblers when required.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 1 year of verified related experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- At least one year of manufacturing experience
