Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, sewing machines, equipment, and all facility systems ensuring proper and safe operation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
- Maintain and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.
- Perform setups and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
- Respond promptly to inoperable production and facility equipment and report any potentially hazardous situations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and potential failures, ensuring timely intervention.
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
- Utilize and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe secure work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions.
- Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge in:
- Electrical systems
- Industrial controls/PLC's
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Technical drawing's
- Mechanical systems
- Facility systems
- Machine shop equipment (lathe and mill)
- Sewing machine repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members across all levels of the organization.
