Job responsibilities
- Design and deliver workflow automation and digital enhancements for loan origination and closing (e.g., intake/validation trackers, exception queues, SLA dashboards, and standardized templates) by translating operational needs into clear requirements, testing solutions end-to-end, and driving measurable improvements in cycle time, quality, and controls.
- Assist in the documentation and transaction closing process for loan origination by collaborating with team members to ensure all necessary documentation is accurately prepared and finalized for loan origination, facilitating a seamless transaction closing process.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative solutions to streamline loan origination processes, leveraging emerging technologies and automation tools.
- Support the adoption and integration of digital platforms, data analytics, and AI-driven tools within the loan origination function.
- Analyze current workflows and recommend process improvements, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on new systems, processes, and technologies introduced through transformation efforts.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with clients and internal teams, to ensure clear communication and efficient handling of loan transactions.
- Identify and address issues that arise during the loan origination process by applying analytical skills and problem-solving techniques to find effective solutions.
- Assist in identifying potential conflicts and work collaboratively with team members to mediate and resolve disputes, ensuring a harmonious workflow.
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of all activities related to loan origination, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong proficiency utilizing tools such as: Alteryx, Tableau, and UI Path to create simple solutions, automate reports, speed up document readiness checks, and improve visibility/status updates for all stakeholders.
- Drives innovation and change in a regulated setting-experienced in improving processes and rolling out digital platforms, analytics, or AI-enabled tools by aligning stakeholders, training users, and following proper governance to stay compliant while expanding what works.
- Expertise in loan origination processes with strong stakeholder management skills for both internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated track record of driving innovation and transformation projects within financial services or similar industries.
- Expertise or familiarity with digital lending platforms, automation tools, and data analytics technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead change initiatives.
- Ability to manage conflicts and facilitate discussions non-confrontationally, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Proven time management and organizational skills to efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Developing proficiency in critical thinking and evaluation to accurately assess situations and make informed decisions.
