Description
Join the Dakota Commercial Team as a Preventative Maintenance Technician! Dakota Commercial is looking for a dependable, motivated full-time Preventative Maintenance Technician to help keep our residential and commercial properties looking their best and operating smoothly. This position is typically 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with benefits to include employer paid health insurance, paid time off, and 401K. As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you'll play an important role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of our properties through routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative care. The ideal candidate is proactive, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in keeping things in excellent condition. A work vehicle will be provided. It is the responsibility of the Preventative Maintenance Technician to provide basic tools. Duties/Responsibilities: Perform routine preventative maintenance at residential and commercial properties Replace HVAC filters and complete scheduled maintenance tasks Sweep and maintain parking garages and common areas Assist with parking lot maintenance, including striping, cleanup, and trash removal Perform light maintenance and minor repairs, general building upkeep Assist with landscaping and seasonal exterior maintenance Identify maintenance concerns and report repair needs before they become larger issues Maintain inventory of materials and supplies needed for assigned tasks Work closely with property managers, contractors, vendors, and fellow team members to ensure properties are well maintained Complete special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications: Valid driver's license with a good driving record Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage daily tasks Experience in general maintenance, facilities, construction, or a related field is helpful, but we're willing to train the right candidate Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and ability to lift 2050 pounds regularly Strong problem-solving and communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions Friendly, professional attitude when interacting with residents, contractors, vendors, and coworkers Basic technical and smartphone/Ipad skills for work orders and communication If you're someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining quality properties, and likes that every day is a little different, we'd love to hear from you!
