Pro rata remuneration based on full-time equivalent value of up to AUD $546,127 p.a. (including incentives), plus a comprehensive benefits package

Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist (Perinatal Mental Health) to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team at Townsville University Hospital.

About the Role
As a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist, you will provide expert clinical leadership and specialist psychiatric care within the Perinatal Mental Health Service. You will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver evidence-based assessment, treatment and consultation services, supporting women and their families during pregnancy and the postnatal period.
The role offers the opportunity to combine meaningful clinical practice with teaching, mentoring and service improvement activities.
About You
You will possess:
- Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent specialist qualifications recognised by the College
- Current registration with, or eligibility for registration as, a Specialist Psychiatrist with the Medical Board of Australia
- Demonstrated experience and/or a strong interest in Perinatal Mental Health
- A commitment to compassionate, recovery-oriented and family-centred care
