Cherry Chase Pet Hospital is a privately owned small animal hospital in Sunnyvale, CA, looking for a kind, reliable, and motivated Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team.
We are not a corporate hospital. We are a small, hands-on team that cares about our patients, our clients, and each other. We believe in practicing good medicine, supporting our staff, and creating a work environment where people feel respected, appreciated, and able to grow.
Our hospital provides wellness care, sick visits, surgery, dentistry, digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house diagnostics, and reference laboratory services. In addition to dogs and cats, we also see exotic pets, excluding birds, which gives our team the opportunity to learn and work with a wider variety of patients.
We are looking for someone who enjoys learning, communicates well, and takes pride in helping pets and their families.

About the Position
This role includes assisting doctors with appointments, treatments, surgery, dentistry, patient care, lab work, radiographs, medication preparation, medical records, and client communication.
Experience with blood draws, injections, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, dental radiographs, scaling, and polishing is preferred, but we are also happy to train the right person who has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
The right candidate is compassionate with animals, professional with clients, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work well with a team.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
One to two years of veterinary experience preferred
RVT license or VTNE completion is a plus, but not required
Must be comfortable handling dogs and cats
Experience or interest in exotic pets is a plus
Must be reliable, kind, and willing to learn
Work Location
In person at Cherry Chase Pet Hospital in Sunnyvale, CA.
